Grape Variety Malvasia di Candia Aromatica from Crete
Famous Cretan wine during the Venetian occupation of the island. This variety gives wines with rich aromas, intense fruity flavour and muscat aftertaste. The vine clone “Malvasia di Candia Aromatica” has returned to the foreground particularly in Heraklion and many Cretan wines from Cretan grape variety Malvasia have gained distinctions.
